Volovanes beef stuffed puff pastry hot pocket meat pies quick appetizers party food

Hey guys! Today I’m bringing to you my all-time favorite recipe for these volovanes, meat stuffed puff pastry shell!! The taste is so delicious that there aren’t even words to describe how good these are! Volovanes are such a breeze to put together and will impress everyone at your dinner party because they look so gourmet.

1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 white onion chopped
salt, pepper to taste
2 chopped plum tomatoes
1/2 bunch chopped fresh mint
1 package puff pastry shells

Fry the ground beef and onion until it cooks well and meat browns. Add the fresh mint and tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes cook down into a sauce.
Meanwhile bake the puff pastry in a preheated oven at 450 degrees F for 10- 12 minutes until golden brown * keep shells frozen until ready to bake.
Fill the cooked meat into the cooked shells and top with simple salsa if desired.

3 plum tomatoes
1/2 onion
1 clove garlic
1 jalepeno with all seeds and rib removed
Boil with water about 10 minutes then strain the liquid out and blend with 1 teaspoon salt.
