Intermittent Fasting Protein Shake for Weight Loss and Muscle Gain – Here’s how to make a healthy chocolate protein shake that you can adjust for your needs!

Some days you may need a little more or less protein or calories for your eating window. This healthy chocolate shake recipe is simple, allowing you to add or subtract the ingredients for any given day without sacrificing quality.

Like I said in the video, I use a Ninja Blender with the ultra-blend setting that intermittently blends for one minute. I have not experimented with any other type of blender or settings.

However you choose to make this chocolate protein shake, it’s important to get the oats blended well for proper consistency. Or, if you choose, you can simply leave them out.

Intermittent Fasting Protein Shake for Weight Loss and Muscle Gain

8oz whole milk
1 cup whey protein powder
2 Tbsp collagen protein
1 Tbsp mct oil
1/2 cup quick oats
2 Tbsp chocolate chips
1 tsp organic cacao powder
4-6 drops vanilla extract
10 cubes ice

Intermittently blend for 1 minute

*approximately 740 calories and 50 grams of protein

For less calories, less fat, or allergy purposes, you can obviously substitute the whole milk for skim milk, almond milk, coconut milk, or water.

For less carbs, you can leave out the oats and chocolate chips.

You can experiment with the whey and collagen protein by using one or the other, or using both with more or less. Be careful with too much whey as it can cause some gastro-intestinal upset.

You can also leave out the mct oil if you’re watching your fat grams or calories, and it will have no bearing on the flavor.

Like I said in the video, if you don’t like the texture the oats bring, try this chocolate protein shake without them next time.

    Don’t get me wrong but I would add some fiber though like flaxseed or psyllium husks to make it even more complete. Other than that it’s a great recipe.
